This interactive map shows the ups and downs of the real estate market since 1996. Here's how to start exploring the data:

  • Press play-button to start the TimeMap animation
  • Press next-button to step forward by one year
  • Press previous-button to step backward by one year
  • Drag the SLIDER on the timeline to manually change the year
  • Select any metropolitan area (
    ) on the map for more details
  • The size and color of each point reflect the typical home price that year:

      $1,750,000
  • Press toggle-chart-button to show a graph of price vs. time for the selected city
